The BLCS is now seeking nominations onto the steering committee. Nominations for the following positions are now available:

• Chair Elect – 4-year term: Chair Elect 1-year, Chair 2-years, Vice Chair 1-year
• Secretary – 3-year term

Both nominees and nominators (proposer & seconder) must be members of the Society and the permission of the nominee must be obtained. Nominations should be made by email to the society chair (Dr Rebecca Walker, rebecca.walker@abdn.ac.uk). The Nomination form can be found on the last page of this letter which you can download from this link: committee nominations.

The timeline for the election process is as follows:

• 1^st September – Nominations open.
• 15^th September – Nominations close.
• 16^th September – Members will be told of the nominees for each post and online voting begins.
• 30^th September – Voting ends.
• 1^st October – Announcement of successful nominees.

Details of the online voting, if needed, will be released in due course.
